WhyDoesMyDog.com uses positive reinforcement techniques and extinction methods to help the dog learn what behaviors are appropriate for what situations. We believe in helping your dog better understand your rules and your expectations while still letting the dog be a dog. Expecting a dog to be a perfect robot at all times is not realistic. Instead, we want to help you on how to better communicate what you want from your dog.

We do this trough reinforcing behaviors that we do want to see. Things like being friendly to kids, strangers, and other dogs. We also prevent and redirect unwanted behaviors like getting into trash and jumping on people.

We avoid and actively discourage any use of pain, fear and intimidation in our training as that erodes our dogs trust in us.

Our Mission:
Our mission is to make the lives of dogs and their owners more productive by providing dog training tricks and information that enhance the art of communicating with dogs and improving the human and dog relationship. This platform provides bite-sized snackable content for people.

Our Promise:

  • Providing dog owners everywhere with dog training tips that are bite-sized for on the go consumption.
  • We provide the tips and tricks to help you manage your dog by preventing the unwanted behavior from them and rewarding behavior humans want without the use of intimidation and force.
  • We do not want to change who the dog is but learn to help them live in our human world better.
  • We recognize there is a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding about dogs and we want to replace those with knowledge and techniques that are easy to learn and use.
  • We want to dispel the idea that you have to be in a constant struggle with your dogs for dominance. It is better that we help you create a relationship that is formed out of mutual respect and finding common ground between the dog and their owners/human family.
  • As humans, we all strive to be comfortable in our skin, and sometimes a dog can even have those unique issues. In the end, a dog and their human can have very similar problems and we want to help them understand that.

We love dogs and want to make their lives better. We aim to help you understand and communicate with our canine companions through our series of informative dog training videos. If you take these lessons to heart, we suspect that you and your dog will form a stronger bond than ever before.
