Before going out on a walk, make sure you chose the right equipment. Many times, just using a different type of harness or color can make all the difference. There are many different tools and equipment, check out some of our suggestions.
Can right equipment make a difference in pulling behavior?
Before you step out the door to take your puppy or dog for a walk, make sure you have the right equipment for your dog. Each dog and puppy is unique and need different equipment for walking. If your dog is pulling on the leash, it is better to have a harness. If your dog walks nicely by your side, you could get away with using a collar or a harness with a back clip. If you have a leash reactive or aggressive dog or puppy, DO NOT use choke and prong collars, instead call a professional trainer to help you manage your dog or puppy better. You could use a harness with a chest clip and clip it to the ring in the harness AND on to the dog’s collar. This way you have a lot more control over your dog or puppy!
